Manchester

I don’t know why I haven’t been here sooner. We took the train up for the day which took around 2 hours to get there.

Heading to another city I thought it might be just a smaller London. Yes it’s a small city, but it’s full of character and so many cool places! The thoughts of moving there popped into our heads almost instantly.

We mainly wandered around and visited all of the cafes! We looked at all the thrift stores and art stores, it felt like if Brick Lane were a city, it would be Manchester. We decided not to do museums etc as we were only there for a day and wanted to be outdoors exploring.

Cafes:

Just Between Friends – Cute little spot serving Assembly coffee.

Siop Shop – Hands down best doughnuts! We ended up having 3 doughnuts – Peanut Butter and Jam, Vanilla and Boston Cream. Staff were super friendly and laid back. They’re serving coffee by Koppi roasters.

Idle Hands Coffee – Very cool space and loads of artworks and plants for sale. We had lunch here which was pretty nice. Coffee was good and served in nice handmade ceramic bottles.

Foundation Coffee House – Very large space and great interior. They use Origin coffee roasters. We didn’t get coffee at this place, but decided to have a hot chocolate here before getting the train home.

Ancoats Coffee Co. – Bit of a strange location and not much of a vibe. They roast there own coffee in the warehouse/cafe space.

Definitely can’t wait to go back!
